The problem, in a word is; Politicians! Politicians who over the years have allowed our lives to be incrementally ground down by countless edicts, polices and rules of cancerous political correctness. It is high time...

Fixing Broken Britain

Demanding Government of the people, by the people, for the people!

Proceed With Caution

Posted by Ken Marshall On It's now time to unseat the arrogant!

imagesI want to express a few concerns I have in the way many people may react to the MP’s expenses scandal.

The European elections will be taking place on June 4th and my guess is that many people just won’t bother to vote. The turn out for European elections is usually quite low in this country anyway. I think it could be an all time low this year though.

There will also be many people who will decide to punish the main parties by voting for one of the minority parties as a show of disapproval to their usual choice of main party.

And this is where the danger lies.

The combination of people not voting for their usual main party choice, along with the number deciding to vote for one of the minor parties, could create a situation where an extremist party could gain a foothold of some power.

Unless you are an extremist then I would find out as much as you can about such parties as the BNP. Do not take their election material at face value. All extremist parties have a hidden agenda, as Hitler did in the early 1930’s before he came to power.

It should be noted that since the BNP won in the Millwall by-election a few years ago, racial incidents in this area have increased by 300 percent.

My concern is that a knee-jerk reaction to punish our discredited MP’s unleashes an even bigger problem onto us all.

We need to consider our next actions with intelligence and foresight that will move us genuinely to a better democracy and accountable constructive politics.

Totally agree. This whole expenses fiasco has really undermined people’s confidence in politicians and it was already low enough anyway. My worry is because of all this some extremist parties start to get a foothold of power. Worrying.

Ken has had a keen interest in politics since a teenager and remembers the heady days when there was a detectable difference between Labour and Tory policies. This blog came about as a means to voice an opinion of what could happen and what should happen according to Ken.
